Selecting the energy save function holds the current charge level in the hybrid battery. Minor variations in charge level may occur. The driver determines when to use the saved battery charge level by deselecting the energy save function, e.g., driving in urban areas. See MY ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV).
Touch the SAVE soft key to enable the energy save function. The instrument panel displays the SAVE message to confirm selection. See INSTRUMENT PANEL: HYBRID VEHICLES.
Touch the SAVE soft key again to disable the energy save function. The instrument panel extinguishes the SAVE message to confirm deselection.
Manually selecting the Electric Vehicle (EV) hybrid mode, exits the energy save function. If required, the energy save function has to be selected again. See ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) MODE.
