Jaguar InControl Apps allow operation of a number of smartphone apps via the vehicle’s touchscreen.
Not all smartphones are compatible. For compatibility information on Apple smartphones, please refer to the Jaguar InControl Apps download page from the Apple App Store. For compatibility information on Android smartphones, please refer to the Jaguar InControl Apps download page from the Google Play Store.
In order to use InControl Apps, first download the Jaguar InControl Apps launcher to a smartphone.
Downloading and installing the launcher app:
Jaguar InControl Apps data usage is charged from the user's smartphone.
The availability and functionality of Jaguar InControl Apps depends on the specification of the vehicle and the market in which the vehicle is used.
Apps that are not suitable for use while driving, e.g., gaming apps, are not available on Jaguar InControl Apps.
InControl Apps feature will not work if the smartphone screen is locked.
The Jaguar InControl Apps launcher screen displays apps installed on the user’s smartphone at the top of the screen. The vehicle’s touchscreen replicates the Jaguar InControl Apps screen. To adjust the order of the apps, touch the icon on the vehicle’s touchscreen and drag it to the required position.
Apps not installed within the user’s smartphone but are available to use with Jaguar InControl Apps are displayed in the More apps section of the screen. Scroll down to see the full list. Tap the required app and install. The new app will appear at the top of the screen once installed.
The Options menu within the Jaguar InControl Apps launcher, allows the user to access the following:
To view an app on the vehicle's touchscreen, connect the smartphone via the USB cable to the vehicle's USB socket. The socket is located in the centre console's cubby box.
To open InControl Apps on the touchscreen, select the EXTRA FEATURES menu on the touchscreen. Select the InControl Apps option, which will open the launcher.
Alternatively, to set InControl Apps to launch automatically, select the settings icon. Select All Settings. From the list select Features. Search InControl Apps and select to change the launch preferences.
