With the steering column control in the AUTO position, the steering column moves to provide easier entry and exit from the vehicle.
On opening the driver’s door, the system raises the steering column to the highest position, assisting with entry or exit from the vehicle.
The steering column returns to its previous position once the driver's door is closed and the ignition is switched on.
If the steering column is adjusted during entry or exit operation, automatic movement stops.
To prevent automatic movement of the steering column, turn the control clockwise to the alternative position.
