EMERGENCY LOCKING [G2783246]

NOTE:

Do not leave the emergency key blade in the vehicle at any point during the emergency locking procedure.

In the event of a fault with the alarm or locking system, the vehicle can be manually secured using the emergency key blade, if required. The emergency key blade is contained within the smart key body. See SMART KEY OPERATION.

NOTE:

In the event of the battery discharging, each of the doors must be locked manually.

To use the emergency key, open the driver's door and locate the access cover for the emergency lock on the edge of the door. Insert the emergency key blade into the cover's slot. Rotate the cover counter-clockwise to first release it. Pull the cover to remove it from the door. Keep the lock's access cover safe.

  1. Insert the emergency key blade firmly into the emergency lock.
  2. Left side drive: Rotate clockwise to lock the doors.
  3. Right side drive: Rotate counter-clockwise to lock the doors.

Once the lock mechanism is turned, remove the emergency key blade. Refit the access cover and rotate the cover clockwise to secure it firmly. Close the door and confirm that it is locked by pulling the handle. Repeat the procedure for all other unlocked doors.
