BLIND SPOT MONITOR LIMITATIONS [G2792506]

The blind spot monitor system does not operate when:

  1. Reverse (R) or Park (P) is selected.
  2. The vehicle's speed is below 6 mph (10 km/h).
  3. The radar sensors become blocked or stop working.
  4. The door mirrors stop working.
  5. An electrical connector is connected to a Jaguar Land Rover approved trailer socket.
    CAUTION:

The blind spot monitor system remains disabled if a trailer is disconnected from the trailer socket while the vehicle is still running. Switch the vehicle's electrical system off, then back on again, to enable the blind spot monitor system. Failure to do so could increase the risk of collision during a vehicle maneuver.

The blind spot monitor system:

  1. Works most effectively on multi-lane highways.
  2. Monitors an area of approximately 11 ft (3.3 m) from the side of the vehicle, and approximately 28 ft (8.5 m) behind the vehicle.
  3. May register false targets if traveling along a narrow lane.
  4. Does not work accurately if the sensors are misaligned due to bumper modifications or impact damage.
