VEHICLE CHARGING OVERVIEW [G3133030]

WARNING:

Make sure all relevant safety warnings and cautions have been read and understood before charging the vehicle. See VEHICLE CHARGING SAFETY.

There are two methods of charging the Electric Vehicle (EV) by using either Alternating Current (AC) or Direct Current (DC). All home EV chargers and a large number of public charging stations use AC, while DC is used for rapid charging, however connection to a dedicated DC charging station is required for this. A different charge port is used for each of the charging methods. See CHARGING PORT LOCATION.

A charging cable is supplied with the vehicle. The cable should be:

  1. Stored securely in the luggage compartment when not in use.
  2. Used if a public charging cable is not available.
NOTE:

At very low temperatures, the battery charge level may not visibly increase until an initial period of battery pre-conditioning has been automatically completed.
