TOPIx Workflow Overview – Maintenance, PDI and OSH, Fault and Breakdown (G3447668)

Retailers can increase productivity, reduce diagnostic time, and achieve higher quality repairs first time with TOPIx Workflow. Workflow can be used to perform a vehicle service, Fault and Breakdown diagnosis or a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).

A workflow can be completed by front of house staff, technicians and workshop managers. From the History tab a workflow can be resumed at any time, it does not need to be completed in one session. There is an option to run the application only or include a check sheet.

TOPIx Cloud pre-populates workflow to support the diagnostics with vehicle data. A Network Integrity Test is completed and includes vehicle data such as Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and module software versions.

Technicians are guided through all tasks, and shown the steps necessary to complete the workflow. Workflow's are simple, and each action is clearly defined.

  • A Service Workflow provides a checklist, service interval reset, ending with the creation of the Online Service History (OSH) record
  • A Fault and Breakdown Workflow guides you through the symptom and component selection, offering test scenarios, and suggested repairs
  • A PDI workflow provides a checklist, workshop instructions, the PDI application, ending with the creation of the OSH record

The benefits of TOPIx workflow include

  • Increased client satisfaction
  • Better customer service
  • Simplifies business processes to make them easier to follow
  • Gives greater visibility to JLR to help improve TOPIx-based in diagnostic data
  • Give diagnostic data on high hitters and/or common repairs, for example, for batteries repairs. TOPIx shows what tests have been done by the Retailer and what procedures were selected to achieve Fixed Right First Time (FRFT)
  • Successful diagnostic processes will be introduced in the recommended repairs to give Technicians visibility of the most common repairs
