From September 2023 a feature is available within TOPIx to allow Network Integrity Test (NIT) collected data to be viewed and compared with historic NIT information.
When comparing data from two completed NITs, differences between them will be highlighted in red, showing where:
- Module hardware has been changed
- Module software has been changed
- DTCs that are now present

All data collected by the NIT can be viewed, including:
- Module communication status
- Module software part numbers
- Module hardware part numbers
- Module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) logged and their status
How to Use Historic NIT View and Compare
- You must be a registered user, logged into TOPIx.
- Enter a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) from the vehicle search page.
- From the OPTION SELECTION box select any of the options.
- Select the Diagnostics tab at the top of the page.
- In the Diagnostics tab, in the right-hand pane labeled Applications And Trouble Shooting, select History.
- From within History select a previously completed Network Integrity Test and then from the Result Column. select the button Vehicle Model.
- If the previous NIT required is not found, from the top of the pane select View All History. This will display all history for the vehicle instead of just the most recent history.
- All modules will now be displayed on the left of the window, with the module communication status recorded at the time in the status column. To view the data for any of the displayed modules, select the module, and the collected data will drop down.
- To compare the displayed data to another completed NIT, from the same window select ‘Compare’ in the top right corner.
- A drop down will now appear with the dates and times of all previously completed NITs.
- Select the date and time of the NIT you wish to compare data against.
- If the previous NIT required is not displayed in the drop down, close the window, and select View All History from the right-hand pane labeled Applications And Trouble-Shooting. Then reselect the NIT you wish to view and reselect Compare in the top right corner.)
- Two panes will open, with the originally selected data on the left, and the comparison data on the right. The date and times of the data collection is displayed at the top of the window, above each set of data.
- The modules present in the NITs will be displayed side by side. If the data collected from modules in both NITs is identical, there will be no red outline around the module. If there is a difference between the data collected, a red outline will be seen around the module.
- To view the differences found between NITs, select a module with a red outline and the data collected from both NITs will drop down.
- From the drop-down data, only the specific differences read between the two NITs will be highlighted in red, to pinpoint the exact change.
- To close the window, select the ‘X’ in the top right corner of the window.
