To find the destination of a wire or splice terminated with an arrow, select the hyperlink above the splice. This opens a summary of all the other diagrams within the Interactive Electrical Wiring Diagram (iEWD) that contain the same splice.

Text and Reference Searches within an iEWD

The search function in the iEWD searches for text, connector and splice references across all the diagrams in an open iEWD. The results are filtered in list format in the left hand menu, displaying only the diagrams containing the search results.

All occurrences of the phrase in the diagram are highlighted. If searching in an open iEWD this page remains open, otherwise, the first diagram with a resulting match will be opened.

Any searches are re-applied when you move between the iEWD and Electrical Reference Library (ERL) tabs.

The navigation arrows, show and hide icons have been updated to provide improved functionality.

Key Features

  • Search for text-specific terms across all the diagrams in an open iEWD
  • Search for PIN, connector and splice IDs across all the diagrams in an open iEWD
  • Search terms can include hyphens
  • Search results are highlighted in the diagram
  • Filters the navigation menu (left hand navigation window) to display only the diagrams containing search results
  • Provides a count of how many diagrams matched the search terms
  • Toggle to so that you can select to view all diagrams or only those matched in the search
  • Icon to jump to the next or previous results.

Navigating Electrical Diagrams

The following icons are available to help you navigate within a diagram:

  • Zoom in
  • Zoom out
  • Zoom reset

Alternatively you can use your mouse buttons:

  • Pan - hold down the left-button on your mouse and dragging across the screen
  • Zoom in - Double click the left-button on your mouse
  • Zoom out - Double click the right-button on your mouse

Section numbering

The sections in iEWDs follow the same Global Outline numbering system as Workshop Manuals. If a wiring diagram shows more than one sub-system, the diagram will be located in the first-named sub-system.

NOTES:

  • Example1 - Power and Ground distribution wiring diagrams can be found under section 414-01, BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES.

  • Example 2 - Starting and Charging will be located under section 303-06 Starting System, because 'Starting' is the first-named sub-system
