The Interactive Electrical Wiring Diagram (iEWD) combines two separate publications, the iEWD and the Electrical Reference Library (ERL). The iEWD links the two sets of data, providing quicker navigation around the diagrams, and identification of connector location and pinout.
Each wire has six properties, with each property separated by a comma, for example: CMC21LA,WH-OG,0.5,WK,3210,EN-XV||EN-Y1.
The wire length (950) on wire GD132MA in the diagram above, indicates the harness splice S1D132B is approximately 950mm from connector C1MC21.

Component descriptions on the wiring diagrams are all suffixed with a translation code, for example: (D718). The code is designed to control translation of the component description into different languages but it also provides an additional search element within the diagram.
Select the connector number to reveal the full pinout and terminal (Cav) destination (Destn). Terminal (Cav) destination (Destn) table.
Dotted lines are no longer used to indicate that a component is not shown in its entirety
Connectors and header joints (where applicable) are identified by their corresponding connector number, and associated terminal pin numbers.
Where wires have a predominant color with a secondary color tracer, the main color is identified first, for example WH-BK - white with a black tracer.

(TOPIx User Guide/Electrical Information). All terminals are tin plated unless otherwise identified. SLVP = silver plated, GOLD = gold plated
The figure-of-eight symbol on wires as illustrated above shows an example of how a twisted pair of wires is represented.
Flyleads are a sub-assembly of a component, wire colors may vary and are therefore not shown on the wiring diagrams. Components that use a flylead can be identified by the word FLY on the wires close to the component.
