Introduction of Two-Factor Authentication to TOPIx
The JLR team is continually looking to enhance and improve IT security. As part of this effort, we will be introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to TOPIx.
This will require anyone accessing TOPIx to provide a second form of authentication, either through an authenticator application such as ForgeRock or Microsoft Authenticator, or via a code sent to the user's registered email address.
This process will allow users to log in without the requirement to go through Single Sign-On (SSO).
To support this new functionality, the login options displayed to users on TOPIx will change from the previously available 'Authorised Repairer' and 'Independent Operator' options. There will now be three available options:
'JLR Retailers & Staff – Legacy Service'
This will replace the previous 'Authorised Repairer' option displayed on TOPIx. It will remain available for Authorised and Franchised Retailers, and JLR staff with a DSL-ID or CDS-ID.
Legacy WSLX service. Scheduled for removal on 28 September 2026.
'JLR Retailers & Staff – New Service'
This is the new option that will require 2FA. The process will be familiar to users who currently use 2FA with SSO.
This option will be available to Authorised and Franchised Retailers, and JLR staff with a DSL-ID or CDS-ID. It will become the only available option after 28 September 2026.
Requires Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
'Independent Operators'
This option will remain available for Independent Operators registered with TOPIx.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) coming soon.
NOTE
The new 'JLR Retailers & Staff – New Service' login option will be presented to users when trying to authenticate SDD. Currently this will not work; users will see an error if they select this option.
This will be rectified in the coming weeks. In the meantime, anyone trying to log in to SDD should continue to use either the current 'JLR Retailers & Staff – Legacy Service' or 'Independent Operators' options.

UPDATE – INGENIUM I6 3.0L Diesel – Engine Health Check has been temporarily withdrawn from TOPIx
Please note that the INGENIUM I6 3.0L Diesel – Engine Health Check application has been temporarily withdrawn from service.
This is due to the requirement for a new link cable harness, which is necessary to enable accurate detection of engine cranking during the test process.
Until the updated harness is available, please continue to perform primary and secondary diagnosis using the manual compression test method, as detailed in the relevant TOPIx WSM, where compression-related diagnosis is required.
We will provide further updates as soon as the cable becomes available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Note: This notification will be presented to users upon launching the application.
